Playdate Update: June 20 moved to Aug. 22 for one big night at The Petal

Stop the presses! Hold your horses! Whoa there, Nelly!

We must move our Pop-Up Playdate from June 20 to August 22.

Why? Our favorite ceramics powerhouse Mary Burrows is so in demand, her pieces are sold out until August, and wedding season has gotten HOT.

So, we're combining both itineraries on the Playdate calendar into one big night at The Petalfeaturing lounge beats from DJ Manos, yum cocktails and these lovely lines on the menu:

Put Aug. 22 in your back pocket, friends. We'll send you the deets as the party approaches!

Jolene + Chad: Post-wedding floral headdress inspires husband's tattoo

Jolene Greenbaum Peterson and her hubby Chad never took engagement photos before their wedding in 2011, so earlier this year, Ali of Alison Vagnini Photography captured their post-wedding photo shoot in Gold Hill, Colorado.

As the lead planner and stylist of Boulder-based Calluna Events, Jolene knew just the setting for this winter wonderland, where she donned floral headpieces from yours truly. Not just for your wedding day anymore, floral headpieces add a unique, creative and ultra feminine flair.

Bringing together urban chic style and a relaxed mountain vibe, Petal designers Tara Murphy and Emily Marchalonis paired raspberry tone blooms with sunshine yellow to stand out against the late-winter mountain setting and combined a few focal blooms with wispy, natural elements.

Turns out that Chad was so moved by the images of his beautiful wife, that he recently got a Picasso line drawing of a similar image tattooed on his body. Pictured below is the sketch and official tattoo, done by Peewee at Bolder Ink. We couldn't be more honored to have played a part in this timeless piece of art.

Timeless Love: Paisley Kay and Jessica Christie pair up for a 1920s time travel shoot

“Love is timeless. It is the memory of the past, the happiness of today, and the promise of tomorrow."

Inspired by this quote, Paisley Kay Event Design and Jessica Christie Photography recently paired up for a vintage styled shoot to capture the idea of timeless love.

With its open, airy forests and soft rays of sunlight, Creekside Tree Nursery provided the perfect setting for a 1920s time travel theme that was complemented by a palette of brown, blush and taupe.

Vintage vanities, timepieces and trunks set a picturesque backdrop for the modeling couple, while pale roses, bright lipstick and soft anemones added pops of perfect color.

This shoot was simple yet stunning, and we're still swooning. View the full shoot here.
