When the talented ladies at Wordshop {Our neighbors & friends just down the street} asked us to collaborate on a new project – locally found wedding inspiration for the bride-to-be –we jumped at the opportunity.

This months pick? Boheme Dream. 

The perfect dress (found at Anna Be), the perfect invitation (cooked up at Wordshop), and the perfect bundle of flowers (designed by yours truly, The Perfect Petal) all come together for the chic modern day bohemian bride.

THE PERFECT PETAL IS HIRING....

Hold the phone! The Perfect Petal is seeking talented designers for the summer season {and beyond}.

We are looking for freelance designers to join our team of misfits & creatives. Ideal contenders should have the following skillset: 

• Be familiar with floral speak. Know the difference between a hand tied bouquet and a nosegay. Know what a lomey dish is and a designer brick of oasis. (We are happy to teach our lingo but we'd love for you to have background in the field) 
• Have a great attitude and a good sense of humor. 
• Be confidant in your design skills but okay with feedback. 
• Be willing to prep, clean, design, and deliver all aspects of wedding production. 
• Must be willing to work weekends and not afraid to take out the trash. 
• Heavy lifting is part of the job. 

If this doesn't scare you and you are passionate about floral design, you might be a great fit to the Petal team.

An Elegant Evening Featured in Martha Stewart Magazine

We are beyond honored to be featured in the new Real Weddings, Special Issue from Martha Stewart Wedding for a stunning Broadmoor affair. We have anxiously awaited flipping through the glossy pages that showcase such a spectacular evening filled with picture perfect details.  We are humbled by the amazing team of talent that worked around the clock to pull of this flawless wedding.

Cindy Ollig, Lead Designer & Owner of The Perfect Petal, describes the affair: 

"Alex, the bride, had been working on crafting a gloriously detailed, sweepingly romantic wedding design with Heather Allen at Table 6 when we were brought on board. It was intensely satisfying to dovetail our designs into what Alex and Heather had begun to lay out, namely the French Provençal Gardens as the wedding's vow backdrop and the Parisian Marketplace ambiance for cocktail hour. Eclectic Hive was an invaluable partner with their panels upon panels of French doors to block Broadmoor foot traffic from the lake and pitch perfect period furniture for the French market. The peaches and almonds in antique gold filigree bowls and the hundreds of open campanella garden roses at the dinner's "Tuscan Delight" were my personal favorite design elements of the day. A huge kudos to LMD Productions for their masterful implementation of the gorgeous chandelier lighting and to my all-star crew at The Petal for days and nights of rigorous installation and design."

The Perfect Petal has always loved working with the dynamic talent that is Calluna. When I think back on the dreamy sun-kissed site visits with Heather Dwight and recently, with Jolene Peterson, I have the most marvelous memories of sketching out ceremony locations, brainstorming interesting visual surprises for guests and getting to know the most delightful and intriguing Calluna brides. I loved walking the grounds of Tess Pace's family land, plotting where to hang lanterns and floating paper balls from 200-year-old cottonwoods. How magical it was to tease out the perfect stems and containers to compliment Cord and Kelly's Ice and Fire wedding by the bonfire in the meadow East of town. I loved the dramatic lavender and mauve ombre flower aisle hedges that Heather and Katherine Lawrence designed on the bride's ranch a couple of years ago and no Petal will soon forget the epic winter extravaganza at The St Regis this past January with 1000 stems of white blooming quince.

Thank you Heather, Jolene & Team for entrusting us with such wonderful weddings!

A very special kudos to our additional runners up winners this season, cloud 9 bliss and Colorado wedding company for their amazing and unique weddings at Sonnenalp and Spruce Mountain Ranch! We hope they enjoy their dinners at Coohills and Vesta on us!
